Not only Black Metal feeds the snake also of true and traditional Heavy Metal, here Witchcurse answers for Cai Cai Vilu # 3 ...

Damned freaks of Classic and true Heavy Metal, Cai Cai Vilu opens the gates of the great snake for an interrogation. What is the present of Witchcurse?

Hail! I am also ready to begin the open ritual. Witchcurse at the moment record their second album. At the moment we recorded the drums and this week I will record the bass. Everything is going in a great way and we will try our best to have ready a dynamite for all the metalheads all over the world.

In what moment did the demon of passion for true Heavy Metal reach your veins?

I listened to metal music first time in the age of 11. Someone make me a tape of Metallica and I still remember the first time I listened it. For 3 months I had only this tape which I listened every day. Sometimes twice. Haha! The years that came I discovered tones of bands. First the classics as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Megadeth, Slayer etc and then I opened the gates of the underground world with bands as Angelwitch, Shok Paris, Thor and many more.

What is Heavy Metal for you guys? From your perspective, which would be the principles and the attitude to have a real Heavy Metal band?

Heavy metal is a way to live. You never have to surrender and you must be strong. Heavy metal means to have some beliefs that you will never change for nothing. Heavy metal is violence and strength. People that listen only the music and don’t live the true way of metal are simple false one. Pathetic shitheads that leave metal for a pussy must also die. Posers that think they are the bad guys because they wear some metal t-shirts and some spikes but they will cry when the fist will hit them are also a good example of false gays! If we have to speak for the attitude of a true metal band we must speak about leather, patches and all the “cliché” of this movement. These was the way from the beginning and this one will be forever if we want to speak about metal.

In the beginnings you released a rehearsal and there was a song named “Keepers of the N.W.O.B.H.M.”. Is this track a tribute to that legion of hordes? Is it a duty to ennoble that old style?

I composed “Keepers” back in 2002. It was a period where the true metal had only few bands and most of them was in a more epic way. I wanted to make a band in the NWOBHM style and in this era was really crazy to make this thing. I felt really a keeper of the sound of this movement. Long time before bands as Enforcer, White Wizard etc became the new rock stars. That’s the reason I wrote this song and this is the meaning of it.

What do you think about the covers that (old) Metallica did, in their 1984 Ep, of bands like Diamond Head and Blitzkrieg? Do you think that tribute made the N.W.O.B.H.M. more recognized?

For sure it made more recognized the NWOBHM movement back in 80s in USA. And of course when Metallica became to rock stars it made recognized some underground NWOBHM songs. The bad thing is that many people know “Am I evil?” or “Blitzkrieg” but they don’t know the original bands. But I really hail Metallica for this thing. They approved that they are true metalheads although that they changed their style.

With what bands did you share the ritual of alcohol and Heavy Metal in which “The Witch is Alive” was edited? What memories do you have of that night?

This was the first live gig of the band out of our city. The live gig took part in Athens. It was a thrash metal festival with local bands and we were the only heavy metal band. That was a bit bad because the most people of the gig was only into thrash metal. But we didn’t care a lot and we gave our best as you can hear in the tape. Other bands that we played together this night and I can remember were Crucifier, Revenge and Benefactor Decease.

In relation to the previous question, I have seen some posters in which you appear next to bands like Manilla Road and Grim Reaper. How was that moment? What do you think of these Heavy Metal monsters?

It wasn’t as waited with all the bands. Many of these bands aren’t the same as in the past. The classic thing was one original member and new musicians to perform some old songs of the bands. But they haven’t the same passion. For sure the band that I liked more that we played together was Manilla road. They were great both on stage and in life. All hail to them!

Usually in Heavy Metal there are those who create lyrics about sex and you guys don’t fall behind, like for example in the song named ‘Bed of fire’. Who are those lyrics dedicated to? What do you think about Heavy Metal ballads?

This lyrics made by our guitarist Necro. He dedicated this lyrics to the best girl that you can imagine. For this girl for sure every man would gave a bed of fire. He could break the bed to fuck till the end!!!!! Hahahaha! I like heavy metal ballads and more I prefer these one who have long guitar solos. Who knows? Maybe in the future will make a ballad.

In 2010 you edit the full length ‘Heavy Metal Poison’, and one of its remarkable songs was ‘Drinkers from Hell’, a hymn that defines the concept of Witchcurse, professing their musical tastes for Iron Maiden, Angel Witch, Clooven Hoof, etc. At the moment of creating that tribute, was there an inspiring flow of beer running through your veins? What Lp have you been listening to lately?

This is again a song of our guitarist Necro. But as I know him for sure he was drunk or he remembered a drunk night to make this song! Hahahaha

From the beginnings of Heavy Metal Satanism has been present, if not the entity named Satan. I’m speaking of bands such as Black Sabbath (Old), Mercyful Fates (Old), Iron Maiden (Old), W.A.S.P., Venom, etc. How is the image of Satan symbolized in the Heavy Metal of Witchcurse?

We are Satanists! We believe in Satan as the wills that the fucking Christian church wants to stop their existence! We want to fuck, drink and have hatred in our mind. All hail Satan!!!!

What do you think today about the bands mentioned in the previous question?  Iron Maiden or W.A.S.P., for example. At first they had interesting, historic and sometimes satanic lyrics. Do you still respect the lyrics of these bands latest records?

Sorry but I don’t hear the new albums of the old bands. I prefer to listen the classic one!

The colombian label BloodLust Records (Colombia) re-edited your demos in a tape called ‘Heavy Metal Poison’. How did the contact with the label come up? Are you satisfied with the distribution of the tape?

The owner of the label came in contact with me through email. Perhaps he found my email from a previous release/flyer or interview. I really don’t know what happen with this tape. The man back from the label has some economic problems these months so I don’t know if he distribute the tapes. We still wait our copies of the release.

Do you know the real Heavy Metal of South America? For example Retrosatan, V8, RIFF, Cronos, Battlerage, Axe Battler, Acero Letal, Motosierra, among many others.

I know the most bands that you mentioned and I believe that the best of the newcomers are Axe battler. You have really good bands although is difficult to find their releases here in Europe. But as I am an underground freak I try to find them through underground distros and trades.

The economic situation of Greece has deeply and entirely affected Europe. How does this crisis affect or affected Witchcurse?

It’s a real problem for us at the moment. Back in time was quite easy for us to find money for recordings or to book a live gig in abroad. At the moment is something really difficult. Many times we thought to go to another country. Time will tell… for sure we will not fall and we will never surrender!!!!

 What can you tell us about the Heavy Metal of your country? Should any band in particular be mentioned in these pages?

Yes only one! Dark nightmare! Check this band! Against modern metals, against posers into metal with a great underground ideology. All the others are fucking posers!

Tell us a definition of each one of these vocalists: Bruce Dickinson, Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister, Rob Halford, Tony Martin and Blackie Lawless.

All of them had something characteristic in their voice that made them what they are now! Lemmy haven’t the best voice of the world but it is a voice that you will never forget! Halford is my best singer. He can sing everything! Raw or melodic in all the tones of voice! 

The way I see it, the songs of the EP ‘Still evil’ are even more classic, I mean, they come closer to the sounds of the NWOBHM. Was this born spontaneously? What can you tell us about this EP?

You are right! We tried to make a step higher. We listened a lot of old stuff and we tried to catch this feeling and I think we made it well. We will continue in this way and the new album will be more NWOBHM with some more 70s parts. But of course it will be raw heavy metal as always!

Do you trade your material or do you leave that to labels?

We trade it and we are proud because we are a band that is part of the true underground! If you want to make something is this music is better for you to make some moves by yourself!

 When will we be having new spells from the witch? Which will be the label? How is the new stuff from Witchcurse coming?

At the moment we record our second album. As I told before it will be total NWOBHM madness and it will includes 12 songs. The big news is that we will have a new singer and I will only play the bass. The problem is that we still search for this singer. We have one way of voice and we will not make back for some losers that we already try to include to our coven. The new singer must be first of all man and metalhead!

ENTREVISTA A RECRUCIFY (Peru)

Entrevista realizada para el segundo numero de la Serpiente, horda Peruana que escupe grosero y satanico metal sudamericano!

Ave bestia oscura de RECRUCIFY, gracias por unirte a la nueva compilación de Cai Cai Vilu, para aquellos que no los conocen danos una breve reseña de tu horda!!!

Infernales blasfemias camaradas de Cai Cai Vilu Zine…!!!!!! Empezamos a propagar la peste negra bajo el nombre de Recrucify..!!!! Nuestra horda nace a finales del 2007 bajo el nombre de Bestia Negra bajo mi mando, Evil Fukker se uniría luego ya que tenia pactado antes con el armar esta horda que vomite himnos negros…así empezamos a descomponer temas para ser plasmados en algún futuro trabajo..ya para el 2008 cambiamos el nombre al de Recrucify, también empezamos la búsqueda de un batero para nuestra tropa..un poco dura fue la búsqueda pero aun así probamos uno que otro, mas no siendo ninguno de los llamados aceptados por su falta de interés, o empeño para con nosotros…al poco tiempo entro Hell Warrior quien mostro empeño para poder grabar los temas que plasmaríamos en nuestro promo cd-r y demo tape totalmente autofinanciado “Satanic Promiscuity” (promo cd-r adv, de distribución gratuita y no puesto a la venta) y “Grimorium Verum” (Tape) respectivamente, después de ser terminadas  estas grabaciones es cuando H.W y nosotros hablamos sobre el futuro de nuestra horda y es asi que por decisión mutua que se decide buscar otro batero…ya para agosto del 2009 es cuando Destructor entra como nuevo martillador de los tambores..Formada esta alineación se puso a trabajar inmediatamente en temas nuevos para nuestro siguiente asalto llamado “Awakening of the Satan’s Kommand” en formato 7”ep .

Tu primer vomito oficial fue “Grimorium Verum”, en formato Tape profesional. ¿Cómo les ha ido con la venta y trade  de este conjuro? ¿Hasta dónde ha llegado el maldito arte!!!!?

Hemos logrado hasta el momento enviar algo de 400 copias entre venta/trade alrededor del mundo aquí en Perú se ha vendido alrededor de 100 copias y he podido tradear aquí mismo con algunas distros, labels, bandas alrededor de 50 copias, Europa fue la mayor parte que se ha enviado este material ahora mismo también esta siendo distribuido por labels como Deathrash Armageddon, Legion of Death, Bestial Invasion, Spreading the Pest, etc. etc. el resultado al menos a sido alentador ya que he podido conseguir mucho material por la vía trade mediante nuestro demo..pues este demo ha sido una edición de mil copias numeradas sin alguna re-edición de nada en ningún formato, ya que como creo que es un numero o cantidad necesaria para que llegue a muchos maniacos interesados en el Metal hecho en esta parte del globo…

¿De que tratan las liricas de “Grimorium Verum”?,  principalmente de temas como “Bestial Sodomy” y ”Bestia Negra”

Satanismo, ocultismo. Magia negra, rituales, sodomía, adoración a la bestia y nuestro diario existir están plasmados en las liricas de nuestro material hecho, nuestra filosofía de ver la vida a modo nuestro, las liricas son transformadas y conjugadas con rituales macabros y el ocultismo… cada tema se relaciona con nuestras creencias personales porque así lo vivimos y escupimos estas blasfemias hecha música, detesto a las bandas hablando de bosques, Tolkien y las alucinantes historias de lovecraf.. Aunque me son interesantes también las historias de lovecraf pero prefiero hablar de mi propia filosofía de ver vivir una vida llena de depravaciones, oscuros pensamientos, libertinaje y sin restricciones de nada ni de nadie… es todo esto que esta vinculada al satanismo en su modo libertario y sin cohibiciones….

Puedo ver un gran trabajo de producción, veo que aún quedan fabricantes de tapes en Perú,  ¿Es muy difícil realizar una producción en este formato ya clásico en tu región?  ¿O bien buscar Tapes  en blanco?

Ya aquí mismo los tapes se están extinguiendo, no fabrican tapes aquí, eso sí que es una mierda no poder encontrar tapes como antes…ha sido algo difícil hacer esta producción nuestra en tape, pues encontramos solamente 600 tapes industriales que mandamos que sean impresos por ambas caras del mismo tape... Mas ha sido habilidad nuestra porque mandamos a  que sean impresos en un pequeño taller y solo hay una persona que nos hizo el trabajo de reproducción y edición de la cinta…al final quedo por lo menos una presentación aceptable de nuestro demo tape, nos costó un buen dinero pero creo que valió la pena el denotar interés por hacer un buen trabajo nuestro. Ahora con los pocos tapes que quedan circulando en nuestra zona está siendo capturado solamente por los Metalheads y eso es bueno porque no hay otro estilo musical que les interese este formato…

Relacionado con lo anterior, ¿Qué opinas de formatos como el Cd-r o bien el Bulk Tape? Mi opinión personal creo que como primer acto musical y promocional  para una banda está bien... ¿Estás de acuerdo con esa apreciación?

Cada quien es libre de sacar su promocional en cd, cdr, tape dvd o lo que mierda sea… no nos interesa lo que puedan hacer otras bandas, si me parece interesante lo que ofrecen, lo adquiero o lo dejo pasar, en lo particular preferimos sacar lo que producimos al estilo de la vieja escuela el primer demo en tape. Ya que este formato es uno de mis primeras adquisiciones cuando empecé a estar en el sendero del Metal…no me parece la idea de hacer un demo en cd-r pero dada las consecuencias de que el tape está siendo extinto no hay de otra...pero mientras haya este formato creo que se puede hacer un esfuerzo para poder sacar sus producciones en este formato...más aun detesto las personas que venden cd-r ...nosotros tenemos un promo cd-r pero no fue puesto a la venta así sea pro-cdr no sería puesto a la venta por nosotros ya que como te mencione antes fue solo de manera promocional y no puesto a la venta por ningún motivo…

¿Estás satisfecho con el trabajo realizado por Hell Warrior (Hell Torment)? ¿Cómo se dio que el participara en RECRUCIFY?

Definitivamente… hell warrior fue de gran apoyo en el demo y en cdr promocional se le dieron las gracias respectivas, en un principio le dijimos que fuera batero de sesión pero después que oyera el tema y por el tremendo apoyo e interés mostrado se decidió que fuera parte de la banda. Y pues es así como el entro a Recrucify... como te mencione líneas arriba... mira nos gustó como su toque de batería encajaba con nuestros riff compuestos y pues si quedamos a gusto con su participación en nuestra banda…queremos siempre lo mejor para nuestra horda, es por eso que desechamos algunos insípidos que llamamos en un inicio ya que no mostraban nada de seriedad menos actitud y otros que no encajaban para nada totalmente…

“Grimorium Verum”, va por el oscuro camino del viejo metal de Sarcófago, Mutilator y Holocausto ¿Qué opinas de estas malditas hordas, y que bandas  agregarías a tus influencias y porque?

Grandes Hordas que definitivamente tuvieron algo que ver en  la elaboración  de nuestros demoniacos himnos, siempre están en nuestras cabezas las bandas que destruyeron nuestros cerebros  desde adolescentes hasta bandas de hoy en día, bandas Brasileras, Peruanas, Alemanas, Inglesas,  pero es más nuestra influencia el ruido metálico Colombiano, mas ha sido la influencia de  bandas de culto como Parabellum, Blasfemia, Reencarnación, Astaroth… por nombrar algunas, y además el acido sonido de las viejas bandas de punk de los 80’s europeas como GBH, Discharge, Anticimex, Poison Idea y sudamericanas como  Olho Seco, Cólera, la vieja Pestilecia, Kaos etc. .. No dejando de lado el ruido metálico del viejo Mayhem, Poison, Sodom, Morbid Angel (old) etc. etc. en fin un sin número de influencias que estarán presentes mientras nuestros temas se estructuren  a eso el porqué de nuestro sonido, son nuestras mismas influencias que nos hicieron hacer este ruido negro vomitado con odio…no teníamos idea de que nos saliera esto, solo tocamos nuestros instrumentos y al finalizar un ensayo y después oírlo nos dimos cuenta que sonábamos así de crudo. No fue este sonido que hacemos hecho adrede, solo fue salido de nuestro interior!!!!! Lo oído y vivido en todo el tiempo hablaron por nosotros mismos.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

¿El arte de”Grimorium Verum” quien la realizo? ¿Representa fielmente los principios de RECRUCIFY?

Ese arte fue hecho por nuestro camarada Milovan de Zapisnik Zine quien de buena manera nos ofreció hacer el arte para nuestro demo pues yo le había mandado unos promos anteriormente y quedo muy a gusto con el Metal que propagábamos, también nos ayudó con la distribución de nuestro promo y lo hizo de buena manera cosa que otras labels tuvieron las desfachatez de ponerse a vender los promos que eran de distribución gratuita solamente...en fin……para el arte solo le dejamos que con su retorcida y mórbida mente creara algo realmente malévolo, oscuro y amorfo ya que el nombre del demo llevaría G.V y pues el finalizo el arte y nos gustó como quedo. También el mismo hizo el logo de la banda en este demo…yo siento una visión enferma en este arte está hecho para la música que hacemos y representa nuestro metal mórbido hecho con odio….

¿En lo personal el satanismo o las artes oscuras son importante para ti? ¿O lo que más te importa es ser real contigo mismo... ser perseverante en tu metal...  o las dos deben ser conjugadas?

Muchas cosas son importantes desde los principios personales que mantenemos cada uno de los integrantes, estamos fascinados con las artes oscuras y la demonología pero esto es tomado de manera cultural, filosófica o de interés mismo por decirlo a lo contrario de la basura llamada “religión”  mas no somos practicantes de rituales o misas negras... tomamos el satanismo como una manera de liberación  de no-abstención de lo mundano... somos bestias que detestamos ser seguidores de algún líder, somos perseverantes en todo sentido…!!! Nos asquea las religiones, cultos, o sectas, porque vienen a ser lo mismo., nos inclinamos hacia el satanismo porque es más fuerte el sentimiento destructor y perverso que habita en él, y es donde nos sentimos más cómodos…. En ese infierno en el que somos libres.

¿En qué condiciones llega a la banda el actual baterista de Anal Vomit, Destructor?, ¿Como fue el contacto,  es un miembro permanente?  ¿Qué opinas de Anal Vomit?

El ingreso de Destructor a nuestra horda redefinió el sonido desde un inicio,  quizás en un principio nos descuadro en cuanto a los tiempos que teníamos ya compuestos en algunos riffs, pero con mas horas de ensayo pudimos lograr algo demoledor y salvaje en nuestros temas, aunque se percibe algún toque diferente quizás a lo de nuestro anterior batero como era de esperarse…ya hace algún tiempo había hablado con él para que nos apoye en algún cover que queríamos hacer de Hadez, eso fue hablado en casa de noizer(Anal Vomit) un día con mucho alcohol y demás sustancias toxicas, le propuse que participara solo en un cover.. Más adelante pasado algún tiempo nos quedamos sin batero y pues un día me encontré con Destructor por una vieja calle de Lima el estaba medio drogado y me dijo que ya sabía que andábamos sin batero y que el normal podría cubrir su puesto sin problemas... bueno solo le dije que hablaríamos otro día mejor de esto ya que lo vi en otra dimensión... ya para otro día fui a buscarlo y justo me lo salgo encontrando y me dijo: "maldito demonio del infierno!! Sabía que vendrías a buscarme! para eso he comprado algunas cosas (alcohol y estupefacientes) porque sabía que vendrías...!!! Fue lo que me dijo y nos dirigimos a una licorería y luego a su antro, antes de que estuviera bajo los efectos de lo prohibido para muchos hablamos bien y les puse las cosas en claro y el acepto y me dijo que sería bueno para él porque estaría con viejos camaradas conocidos... y fue así que entonces se quedo en nuestra horda...ahora es nuestro batero a tiempo completo después que el renunciara a Anal Vomit... igual aún sigue siendo camaradas con su ex banda ...y pues Anal Vomit es una banda que nosotros respetamos y gustamos mucho es una banda ya con una trayectoria notoria en la escena a nivel mundial…buenos camaradas nuestros…!!!!

Awakening of the Satan’s Kommand,  es tu  ultimo engendro, ¿Que nos puedes decir  de esta barbarie?

Intro + 3 insanas y caóticas barbaries hecho Metal..!!!!!!!! Para amantes de lo extremo y no de estupideces hechas por nerds payasos que buscan hablar solamente de lovecraf para que supuestamente crean que son reales porque hablan de eso...menos para imbéciles que creen que el death metal que tocan no está de moda y por eso que lo hacen. Encima que ahora recién descubrieron que existen joyas como Nihilist y Grotesque…!!!! Este 7”ep fue grabado en el año 2009 y masterizado en el 2010 en el Sótano Studio…la canción del lado “A” fue grabada en el 2008 con Hell Warrior en la batería los que corresponden al lado “B” son con Destruktor.. este vomito fue parido bajo la label Alucard Recs de Grecia en versión limitada a 250 copias y está siendo distribuida por labels y distros como Record Boy, Deathrash Armageddon, Iron Bonehead, Blood Harvest, Chalice of Blood Angel. Entre otras…

¿Cómo se dio el contacto con Alucard Records para prensarlo en formato vinilo? ¿Estás satisfecho con el producto final?

Enviamos un tema de nuestro ensayo para Alucard Recs ellos habían ya habían oído de nuestra horda y se interesaron en el demo y bueno después de oír el tema advance que les envié de un ensayo que hicimos nos propusieron para que podamos hacer un Split 7”ep bajo este sello…conversamos esto ya casi terminando el 2009 luego empezando el 2010 ellos me contactan para hacer este 7”ep que ya no sería compartido en un Split...cosa que nos agradó mucho…!!! El hacer un 7”ep con solo nuestro himnos… me agrada mucho el trabajo que se hizo para este Ep en cuanto a labor en el arte de caratula y musicalmente también .pero..!! Algunas cosas se dejaron de lado como la numeración y un error de imprenta que sufrió este asalto nuestro por parte de la label... pero pese a esto nos gusto el trabajo final en el viejo acetato negro…!!! Espero puedas conseguir una copia y ver por ti mismo de lo que te hablo…

El arte del vinyl está totalmente blasfema, como debe ser en toda manifestación proveniente de Sudamérica, el artista fue Alan Corpse... ¿Qué opinas de su trabajo?

Alan Corpse es un emisario de satanás por sus artes que plasma en cada blasfemia que traza muy conocido aquí en nuestra escena local y ya está dándose a conocer por otros lados del globo también en su labor como dibujante de las artes negras del diablo...un trabajo que pocos elaboran con fascinación y pues se le dio el trabajo de trazar nuestro arte de portada, los detalles del arte son  trazos de la mano de este depravado guiadas por ordenes infernales... siempre sorprende en sus diseños que realiza ….

¿Crees tú que así podría ser el aniquilamiento de todo ser creyente de religiones totalmente absurdas, como se muestra en el arte de A.O.S.K.? ¿Cómo piensas que será el fin?

Efectivamente. Tú lo has dicho...! aquí se plasma como el comando de satanás se levanta para aniquilar toda maldita raza de creyentes del bastardo y falso profeta llamado cristo, este será su final. Una aniquilación masiva completamente hecha por el comando de satanás..!!!

¿Tú material esta para trade? ¿Alguna condición? ¿Algún material en particular?

Todo trade es más que bienvenido...aún tenemos copias del demo tape...las copias del 7”ep se agotaron rápidamente de nuestra parte así que no hay más de parte nuestra, no tenemos ninguna condición para los trades. Bueno solo una que no hacemos trades de tapes con cds. Solo trades con mismos tapes listos y zines….de preferencia bandas dentro del Black, Thrash, Death...

Según la página del sello Nekroblood Records, existe la intención de realizar un Split junto a la banda Panzergoat Kommando, ¿Qué hay de cierto sobre este Split? ¿Ya se encuentra en circulación?

Se ha enfriado un poco las conversaciones con esta label, pero la intención e interés de parte de ellos aún está en pie…esperemos que todo llegue a un buen acuerdo y se dé el hecho que salga esta pieza bajo este sello...por el momento solo está de palabras...nosotros tendremos la última palabra para esto. Hay otras labels interesadas en trabajar con nosotros y pues esto es bueno ya que los temas nuevos que tenemos de todas maneras serán cedidos a alguna de ellas por si perdiéramos del todo la propuesta de Nekroblood Recs.

“All Sudamerican Warriors 80s, 90s...And All True Ancient Legacy Over The World”. Esta frase es para algunos y para aquellos que un se mantienen reales y perseverantes, ¿Para ti qué significado tiene?

Ser constante con lo vivido en aquellas épocas que fueron de lo mejor...ahora  esta nueva época también es buena en muchos sentidos…mantenerse con el legado dejado por las hordas paridas en los 80’s y 90’s ...más ahora ya no hay espacio para la “originalidad” eso es difícil hoy en día, así que muchos que creen que su banda es mas “real” por hacer solo Death Metal influenciado por la vieja escuela sueca...no me gusta llamar “retro” o tildándolo de “moda” a cualquier banda que mantenga el viejo legado o la esencia..!!! La única moda de mierda que existió o aun existe en el Metal fue la mierda hecha llamada gothic, wimp, ambient gay metal…a eso yo si podría llamar moda…espero su pronta exterminación..!!!++

¿Recrucify realiza actos en vivo?  Si es así camarada, que es lo que entrega Recrucify…

Aun no. Nuestro tiempo es algo limitado, y el poco que nos queda le damos a la banda, y preferimos que sea para sacar nuevos himnos… ensayos para tocar en vivo¡¡¡?? Preferimos no darle prioridad… no estamos para tocar sin que respeten las condiciones que requerimos como banda, tocar por trago o que nos estén reubicando en los horarios cuando les venga en gana no nos llama la atención. Habrá algún live-ritual...pero de momento hemos hecho caso omiso al llamado de los organizadores para devastar en alguna presentación.

Camarada ¿Desde cuándo estas inmerso en el underground?  ¿Cual fue tu primera joya que obtuviste?

A la edad de 13 años empecé oyendo rock clásico con Led Zepellin, AC/DC y Deep Purple. Ya luego descubrí mas bandas Heavy, para luego darme paso a los próximos estilos que conociera dentro de la rama del Metal... Hoy en día ya llevo 35 años encima y pues es un buen tiempo inmerso en las venas del añejo Metal...no recuerdo cual exactamente fue mi primera adquisición musical pero creo que fue un tape de Led Zepellin con lo que empecé oyendo metal…

¿Algún  cerdo ripoff o alguna denuncia de cualquier característica que debas vomitar?

Siempre tengo cuidado con los que hago trades, he tenido la suerte hasta hoy de no cruzarme con uno de estos parásitos.

INTERVIEW TO MANTICORE

Interview made on the tour of "For Rats and Plague" one of the most pestilent and consequent bands ... from Cai Cai Vilu # 1 to Culto al Chivo Blog.

Ave fucking Manticore!!! What is the band doing currently? 

Hails!! Right now we are writing songs for the new LP.

Your last Lp was “For Rats and Plague” under the label of Deathsgasm Records in 2006, which I consider a cult within the Death Black Metal, what was the recording ambience of that plague?

Recording that LP was definitely an enjoyable time. we used Dimm studios, who we have always used which makes it real easy. We just set up and play and Mike takes good care of us. He has always captured the true sound of Manticore.

How was the promotion of “For Rats and Plague”? According to my inquiries you gave many rituals in the US and Mexico, how was the tour? What bands did you play with? Tell us details. 

The promotion for Rats has been great, Deathgasm (CDs) and Hells Headbangers (Vinyls) have both pushed the LP immensely. We did the Sangre de la Bestia tour with Morbosidad, Obeisance and Thornspawn in Mexico last year and it was insane!!! The Mexican fukkers were complete deviants!! It was great to play with the other bands on the tour as well as Hacavitz(GODS!!!!!!!) Black Torment, Raped God666(RIP Goat Destroyer) and many others.

The live desecrations of Manticore are plague and metal, what does represent the crucified rat you show in your rituals? Only rats? 

The rats are symbolic of the album title, the music is for rats and plague--all carriers of disease. Extermination of all!!! Depending on the show, we have also used skinned goat heads on upside down crosses, barbed wire, fire, massive amounts of blood, all of the things one would expect to see at a ritual such as ours.

What happened with Satanael? 

He left due to other things he wanted to pursue, he was going back to school, and had no time to continue with Manticore. He is still a good friend, and we wish him well in all that he does.

The art of Manticore’s covers are blasphemies, sick and with total annihilation of Christianity, are you going to keep using the same art? Who is the creator of such aberrations?  

We have talked to a couple of different artists about doing the new covers we will need this year. So right now nothing is set in stone.  Eric from HH did the cover of Rats, and Infaustus of Supremacy  did the Bowels cover, but we will always keep the same theme of Xtian annihilation.

Talking about Manticore’s art, in your Ep “Ritual Cleansing of the Whore” appear some warrior monks, crusaders or templars, what is the thematic you wanted to give? Do you think those monks were against such doctrines?

That is a cover that Akhenaten from Breath of Night came up with, he had gotten a tape copy of Ritual Cleansing of the Whore and asked to release it on LP and CD. We let him design everything for these versions.  I am quite sure the Templars were against the basics of Xtianity, they knew the truth, but also realised the truth would make man free, and able to think for himself, therefore much harder to control. So, they helped push a false doctrine just to make the sheep fall in line.

In three of your productions you made tributes to Samael, Beherit and Archgoat, is it a way to show respect to those influences? What do you think about the current Samael?

 Manticore was created to play the music that influenced us, the bands that had ceased to exist that created true chaos and hate. We have much respect to the early bands that created such hate. The current Samael is not Samael, sadly they have strayed, and lost the feeling the early rituals contained.

You edited a split with Morbosidad, it was an idea of both bands or the label Hells Headbangers? What’s your opinion about Morbosidad? 

HH came to us with the idea for this split and being big fans of Morbosidad, we were extremely into the idea.  I am an extreme supporter of Morbosidad, they put out some very hate-filled, anti-Xtian violence that attacks the very core of morality.

When is completed the new annihilation? Will it be more brutal and darkest?

New material is being written right now, we have 2 new songs up on our band page that were recorded in November. We are working on getting a new LP out this year sometime, as well as a couple of split releases. It will follow in the vein of all of our releases, a little bit of everything--just pure satanic darkness.

What happened with the split you were going to make with Nocturnal Blood?

We have put it on hold for a while, Nick was concentrating on the Nocturnal Blood full length, so we decided it would be better to wait. We are still hoping to do something with NB later on though.

Manticore is a mythological being, what represents for you? Why did you choose that name?

The name was chosen to represent the filthy sound we create. The manticore shows the true side of man with the venomous tail and that it something that we represent.

What experiences do you highlight about Somnus (Black Gothic Metal)? What made you to create Manticore? 

Satanel and I had talked about doing Manticore since 96, but never had the time, late 2000 saw everything fall together finally.  Somnus was a great time, but this is now.

The inspiration is an essential part when creating, what are your inspirations? Any special cursed literature? 

Everyday living is a major inspiration, just looking around, you can easily find the dark in people and draw from that. Evil is alive and well in this world, it just needs brought out.  I read tons of stuff, mostly true crime and occult/ritualistic books, I am sure that these influences are brought forth in our lyrics.

Your pseudonym is Ixitichitl, what is the meaning of that? Is it   related to the Aztec or Mayas? 

Ixitichitl is a fictional race of sea dwelling demons, though it sounds related to the ancient cultures.

How do you see the current metal scene in your city, any bar with negative atmosphere where drink and sodomize in the name of Satan? Any band you can recommend us?

There is really nothing left in Cleveland anymore, there are a couple of small clubs that play underground metal, but for the most part this town is dying!!! The scene here in the 90's was great, but has steadily gone downhill in the last few  years.  The bands around here that I would recommend are Crucified Mortals(old school thrash), Nunslaughter, Midnight other than that, there aren't too many left.

Do you know something about Chile and South America?

Atomic Aggressor!!!!!  Other than that, not too much, all I know is that the maniacs in South America are said to be some of the craziest on earth. I know that we have talked to some people, and are looking forward to getting to South America once the new LP is recorded and released.

Do you think it’s an honor that Manticore be compared with Blasphemy or Bestial Warlust?

Yes, it is great honor to be compared with those bands. The energy that those bands created is the reason that Manticore was created, to bring that rawness and dark vibe back into metal.

Comrade, what are the five essential discs of Black Death Metal?

It is hard to pick just 5 but I will give it a try:  Archgoat-Angelcunt,  Impaled Nazarene- Tol Cormpt Norz Norz Norz,  Samael- Blood Ritual, Incantation- Mortal Throne of Nazarene, Beherit-The Oath of Black Blood
